This volume contains J. S. Bach's complete harpsichord transcriptions of concertos by contemporary German and Italian masters. These transcriptions include works by Antonio Vivaldi, Alessandro Marcello, Guiseppe Torelli, Bendetto Marcello, Johann Ernst, Georg Phillip Telemann, and unknown masters. They are suitable for either harpsichord or piano. No autographs of these transcriptions have survived, nor have any sources which contain a complete set of extant transcriptions. The sources used for this Urtext edition are detailed in the notes.
